Managing stage presence
Body language-
1. Stand in confidence: use a strong upright posture, keep your feet shoulder width apart and avoid crossing your arms.
2. Strong eye contact: making eye contact allows for a personal feel as though your talking specifically to them.
Movement-
1. Walk naturally and purposefully.
2. avoid rocking, swaying or shifting.
3. Be aware of your hands, make meaningful gestures to increase engagements (if i catch you with your hands in your pockets ill crash out).
Nervous habits-
1. A big one is rate of speech, fast speech is good. When controlled and when used purposefully. (I will touch more on this in the communication unit coming soon!)
2. Avoiding eye contact. This is a serious problem, theres an additional level of confidence and trust associated with eye contact. A way to avoid this (ive heard) is mentally section out the audience and then randomly make eye contact with someone new from each section every so often.
